Hello,
I've ignored this blog for such a long time, and now 2 posts in less than a week. Wow. This will be a quickie seeing I have too much to do. I just wanted to let you know that Love Your Earth TM has a website that is entirely devoted to the Boutique. Check it out at: www.LoveYourEarthBoutique.com Check out these awesome pictures of goodies found in the store that Robin Keys, from Robin Keys Design, took. Thank you Robin!

"Budd E." is coming soon!
I just have to let you know that the fab Tracy from www.TracyBDesigns.etsy.com has been working so hard on "Budd E." the earth friendly sea turtle. He's transforming into this lovely creature who lets kiddos know about great recycling tips. He'll be available for adoption really soon. Keep checking theses websites:

Thanks!

Thanks!
Happy St. Patrick's Day & Happy Birthday Turner-- I love you!
I have to keep this short seeing I'm so overdue for bed. I hear a lot that our customers are reading this blog, so I want to be loyal to you. Thank you for visiting the boutique. We've had great success and we are more grateful than this blog will ever let you know. We have wonderful vendors, consignors, and room renters. We're thankful we'll be listed in Denver's 5280, interviewed by Channel 7 & posted in the North Denver News and The Tribune. All for only being open for 6 weeks! This just shows we're doing the right thing and we're on the right track. Thank you, thank you! And a quick apology to ALL who I haven't gotten back to recently. You're not forgotten, I just don't want to call at midnight!
Love,
Angie

WE ARE OPENING A BOUTIQUE
Hello all! My lovely sister-in-law Laura and I are opening a boutique. Yes, we took the plunge and are heading towards our dream. It's been super fun so far and we haven't even gotten to the good stuff. We're located at 4110 Tennyson in the Berkeley neighborhood. It's a darling street with blocks of unique stores and little boutiques. We share a building with a "Music Together" and we're next to an old school True Value where Ryan has been mixing our paint. You feel like you've stepped back in time when you're on Tennyson. It's amazing. So the name of our boutique is "Love Your Earth Support Your Locals, A Collective Boutique" The interest has been overwhelming. We are so grateful for that. We're painting right now. Thank you Justin for your help! Glad you're so tall! We're running it like a co-op in a sense. We plan to have approximately 10 vendors who will also help operate the store. We're selling products made by local artists or good for the earth products. Our grand opening is February 1st which also falls on a Friday. Tennyson is a great place to celebrate "First Fridays". What is "First Fridays"? Tennyson merchants keep their doors open that evening to let customers come browse, snack on a little something, and sip on some wine. Please come and check us out or call us at 303-455-3366

"Mom, you used to do what???"
So the other day I posted "Angie's Thoughts", but today I think I'll add "Lovely Laura's Thoughts"- my sister-in-law. She brought up a good point. I was telling her about how my children are going to grow up "Generation Green". And she intuitively said, "Someday our children are going to look back and wonder why we came home from the grocery store or any store with so many nasty plastic bags. It'll be equivalent to wondering why so many of our parents smoked." I truly hope that is the case with so many things that we're doing to our earth right now. We're educated on the negative effects that these bags have on our environment. Let's use this useful tool and decrease the number that go into our landfill. It'd be great if they were obsolete by the time our kiddos were adults! PS I went Christmas shopping last night and took a large purse to hold some of my purchases and refused the nasty bag! Do the same, it'll make you feel good :)

Generation Green
So a few thoughts from Angie's head. This one occurred as I was snowboarding and riding up the chairlift at Keystone Mountain this past weekend. By the way, it snowed there for 3 days straight. I've never seen so much snow at Keystone since I moved here in '99. Love that mountian. Anyway, back to "Angie's Thoughts"... This whole "Green Movement" is so exciting. I'm so happy to be a part of it as well. I see everyone/ everything going green. I'm so thankful. Our earth is so thankful. I'm thinking the next generation should be called "GENERATION GREEN". Something positive for a change. I never really like Gen-X or even Gen-Y...what is that? "Generation Green" is great and I know my kiddos will be a part of it. (T-shirts and onesies coming soon). Thanks so much for reading this! Pass it on.

Paying It 4ward!
Hi there all,
I don't even know if anyone is following this blog but I feel the need to add to it- especially today. So I've always struggled with naming my "grassroots project" MothersLoveYourEarth.org. I really wanted just "Love Your Earth". I trademarked just "Love Your Earth" even though I didn't have the website. Unfortunately the website was taken. I just thought someday I would make enough money to hopefully buy it from the rightful owner. I pondered this quite a bit and in the meantime snatched up all the website domain names I could think of that would associate to "Love Your Earth". I felt like "Mothers" was too specific (which it was). I want everyone to feel a part of this movement to decrease the use of nasty plastic bags.
So about 10 days ago, I got enough courage to call the rightful owner. The website was owned, but not in use at this time. I figured it was worth a shot to see how much I may have to pay for it. I thought positive thoughts all day. Believe it or not, the owner was an angel. Raoul Bhatt transferred the website to me today! I told him what my goal is and he too had environmental ideas for the website. Unfortunately he's too busy with other areas in his life (http://www.firetext.tv/). So now I feel it's even more of my mission to succeed. Raoul has demonstrated the epitome of "Pay It 4Ward". Hats off to you. You don't even know how far this good deed will travel. I can't wait to Pay It 4Ward to someone unsuspecting and have them hopefully do the same. Raoul, you're a saint in my book. I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart. Even the customer service guy at GoDaddy.com thought it was amazingly generous of you! Thank you again!
Love Your Earth,
Angie
